Cookie policy

What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website can store in your browser. They are typically used to remember your choices and to measure how the site is used. We only use cookies once you have given consent — except for those strictly necessary for the site to function.
Your consent
The first time you visit xo.dk, a consent banner is shown. You can accept all, reject all, or customise per category. Your choice is stored only in your browser (localStorage) and is not transmitted to any third party. Your choice is valid for 12 months, after which we ask again.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the button below or via 'Manage cookies' in the footer.
Which cookies are set?
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Type | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| xo_consent_v1 | xo.dk | Stores your consent choice (which cookie categories you have accepted) so we don't prompt you again on every pageview. | localStorage | 12 months |
| _ga | Google LLC (Google Analytics 4) | Assigns an anonymised user ID so repeat visits can be counted as a single user. Set only after consent to analytics. | HTTP | 24 months |
| _ga_<MEASUREMENT_ID> | Google LLC (Google Analytics 4) | Stores session state for GA4 (when the session started, whether it is active). Set only after consent to analytics. | HTTP | 24 months |
Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how people use xo.dk. GA4 collects pageviews, clicks, device type, and coarse geography (country/region). IP addresses are anonymised, and we do not share any personally identifiable information with advertisers. GA4 is a service from Google LLC, which may process data outside the EU.
The data processing agreement between us and Google is concluded under the GDPR standard contractual clauses. You can opt out of GA4 by rejecting analytics cookies in our consent banner or by installing Google's official opt-out browser add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
